Imagine a future where the bees have disappeared--and humans aren't far behind. Famine, pollution and disease threaten the globe, and humans return to small compounds to try to pollinate their crops and survive. When an injured explorer, Jonathan, stumbles upon a remote and struggling orchard, he meets Mel, a young woman who has found shelter from the outside world's dangers, under the protection of the farm's leader, Zed. However, Jonathan and Mel soon realize that hope can only be found where everyone else has abandoned it...
